Biggest Crappie

The record for biggest crappie was set on Friday, March 28th by Gill Slayer on Truman Lake. This was was not only the first catch of the day, but of the weekend. Weighing in at 1.5 lbs and measuring in at about 14.25 inches, this pre-spawn slab has set the bar for 2008. It was caught using a minnow on a slip bobber rig 10ft. deep and in 16 ft. of water.
